About Pixelgamer

Pixelgamer is a hobby site, for gamers, by gamers. No corporate overlords and no paywalls: just people who love games, keeping track of what’s worth your time.

What we cover

  • News: the stories gamers actually care about, from release dates and delays to the occasional Hollywood adaptation.
  • Upcoming Games: what’s dropping next, what it costs, and what platforms it’s on.
  • Patch Notes: the important changes in the big games’ updates, decoded so you don’t have to read 4,000 words of balance tweaks.
  • Reviews: roundups of what critics are saying, so you can see the consensus at a glance before you spend $70.

How we work

  • We show our sources. Every article links to the places its facts came from, so you can dig deeper or check our work.
  • Review roundups are labeled as roundups. When we summarize critic reviews, we say so, and we credit the outlets and scores we’re drawing on.
  • Images are credited. Game screenshots and key art belong to their publishers and are used for editorial coverage. Photos used under Creative Commons licenses are attributed in each post.
  • We fix mistakes. Release dates shift and patch notes get revised. When something changes, we update the post.
